St. John's is located in
beautiful, scenic, historic downtown Brooksville and is
the northern most parish in the
Diocese
of Southwest Florida, which extends
south to Naples, Florida. Locally, the
parish is engaged in compassion ministries with
neighbors who are homeless, hungry, abused and
neglected.
We also provide educational
resource support for a nearby school serving the
underprivileged in the county. We are working with other
Hernando County churches and ministries to better
coordinate all of our efforts and resources to make the
most impact. Internally, we are building up ministries
of spiritual formation for all ages. We
have acolytes, scripture reading,
ushering, greeting, Altar Guild,
weekly Bible studies, and abundant
volunteer opportunities. St. John's is now on the City's
famed Mermaid Trail which takes you on a downtown
walking tour
of the City's historic buildings. Look for the mermaid
statue and the QR code for a brief history of the
parish.
St.
John's will be having our annual Blessing of the Animals
Saturday, Oct. 5th, at 10:00 a.m. in front of the church
(on Brooksville Avenue). Bring your pets (all welcome)
for blessing by Fr. Gene!
Sunday Holy Eucharist is celebrated at
10:00 a.m. followed by fellowship/coffee hour. Sunday,
September 8th, we will be having Morning Prayer led by
Beth Tisdel. We hope you will join us to grow our relationships with God and each
other.
Children's Sunday School will be the second Sunday of
the month at 10:00 a.m., joining the congregation after
The Peace. For a full list of regular activities, please click our
Events link. Our Vestry is lively, positive, and
fully engaged to both lead and to serve. God has a
purpose in mind for St. John's and for you.
The Episcopal Church welcomes

If you are looking for a Church home that isn’t too big
but still offers many ways to get involved then we may
be just the spiritual home that you have been looking
for. We hope that you will make an opportunity to
worship with us and see what St. John’s has to offer.
If you have any concerns or questions
about our parish or services, please don’t hesitate to
