St. John's is located in beautiful, scenic, historic downtown Brooksville and is the northern most parish in the Diocese of Southwest Florida, which extends south to Naples, Florida. Locally, the parish is engaged in compassion ministries with neighbors who are homeless, hungry, abused and neglected.

We also provide educational resource support for a nearby school serving some of the poorest in the county. We are working with other Hernando County churches and ministries to better coordinate all of our efforts and resources to make the most impact. Internally, we are building up ministries of spiritual formation for all ages. We have acolytes, scripture reading, ushering, greeting, Altar Guild, choir, weekly Bible studies, and abundant volunteer opportunities. St. John's is now on the City's famed Mermaid Trail which takes you on a downtown tour of the City's historic buildings. Look for the mermaid statue and the QR code for a brief history of the parish.

Sunday Holy Eucharist is celebrated at 10:00 a.m. followed by fellowship/coffee hour. We are blessed to have Fr. Ed Rich celebrating Eucharist Sundays, June 11th and 25th. During the summer we will be having Morning Prayer the first and third Sundays of the month (with communion) and a supply priest the second and fourth Sundays. The Diocesan office is actively seeking a priest-in-charge for St. John's and we look forward to welcoming a new priest. For a full list of regular activities, please click our Events link. Our Vestry is lively, positive, and fully engaged to both lead and to serve. God has a purpose in mind for St. John's and for you.

The Episcopal Church welcomes all as it seeks to follow Jesus Christ into loving, liberating and life-giving relationship with God, each other, and the earth. If you are looking for a Church home that isn’t too big but still offers many ways to get involved then we may be just the spiritual home that you have been looking for. We hope that you will make an opportunity to worship with us and see what St. John’s has to offer.

If you wish to make a donation or pay an existing pledge via PayPal, this option is currently a work in progress. The link will be: Pay Via PayPal.
